Die-Rections was founded in 2004 by couple Charles and Loutricia Gibbs-Tolbert. Loutricia draws upon her personal experiences and testimony – to give direction and purpose to young audiences to help them become positive leaders in the community.
Loutricia is an active participate of the community and currently serves as an advocate for Color of Change, Formerly Incarcerated Convicted Peoples and Families Movement, Florida Rights and Restoration Coalition, and the New Florida Majority. She is also an active lobbyist for the rights of formerly incarcerated people.
Loutricia canvasses the community to help educate registered voters on how to make informed voting decisions during election times. Loutricia's work in this area along with other volunteers in the community can positively impact national election outcomes and can help hold officials accountable to their office.
Loutricia has worked with numerous leaders in the community to develop a behavioral program for our youth. The 6-week behavioral development program is designed to help at-risk youth, to redirect negative behaviors and actions into positive actions. She has facilitated this program at Ribault Sr High, Grand Park and Education Center, and Florida Community College.
The program is designed to help parents identify and explore the reasons why teens act out. It has also helped teens to redirect their energy into positive activities such as spoken words, performing arts, singing, dancing, or playing an instrument. Loutricia pulled from her performances at Ritz Theatre and Douglass Theatre, and her love for the performance arts to aide her in the design of the program.
